Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today announced the appointment of district presidents for its youth and student wings across 10 organisational districts.
The appointments were made by Party President Naveen Patnaik.
For the Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD), Abinash Thakur has been named president for Kalahandi, while Pradyumna Kumar Tripathy will lead Bargarh. Bhagirathi Malik has been appointed for Boudh and Rakesh Panda for Bhadrak. Srinivas Muduli will head Malkangiri and Lalat Ranjan Sethi Koraput. Dharmananda Parida has been given charge of Dhenkanal, Jatin Patel of Balangir, Nachiketa Swain of Ganjam and Gupta Prasad Jhankar of Nabarangpur.
In the student wing, Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD), Ajit Sahoo has been appointed for Kalahandi, Karana Sikandar for Bargarh, Udit Bhoi for Boudh and Bhaskar Mahalik for Bhadrak. Subrat Kumar Das will head Malkangiri, Firoj Padal Koraput, Aryan Das Dhenkanal and Suman Nanda Balangir. Sovan Kumar Nayak has been entrusted with Ganjam, while Babula Nayak will lead the organisation in Nabarangpur.
The appointments have come into effect immediately, the party said.
