Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Odisha state president Manmohan Samal and sitting MP Sujit Kumar as its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Odisha.
The party’s Central Election Committee approved their candidature for the biennial elections scheduled on March 16, 2026.
The polls are being held to fill four Rajya Sabha seats from the state that will fall vacant on April 2.
Earlier, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) had announced the names of senior party leader Dr. Santrupt Misra and eminent urologist Dr. Datteswar Hota as its nominees for the Upper House.
