Koraput: Jeypore Deputy Forest Ranger Nabbed for Possessing Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested Rama Chandra Nepak, Deputy Ranger of Jeypore Forest Range in Koraput district for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets worth crores.

Nepak is set to be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.

Following thorough searches by the Vigilance officials, Nepak was found in possession of assets including Rs 1.43 crore in cash, a multi-storeyed building, three flats, two high-value plots, bank deposits exceeding Rs 1.33 crore, 1.504 kg of gold, 4.637 kg of silver, and two four-wheelers.

During questioning, Nepak failed to provide satisfactory explanations for the acquisition of these assets, which were deemed grossly disproportionate to his known sources of income, leading to his arrest, as per sources.
