OAVs Gear Up for Smooth Conduct of CBSE Board Examinations

Bhubaneswar: A review-cum-preparatory meeting to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming CBSE Board Examinations was held under the chairmanship of Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School & Mass Education Department. The meeting was conducted in virtual mode with the participation of Principals of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs).

During the meeting, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary reviewed the past performance of OAVs in CBSE examinations and stressed the importance of improving student outcomes in the current academic session. He directed all Principals to take necessary steps to ensure better results and maintain academic excellence across schools.

In the 2025–26 academic session, approximately 17,041 students from 250 OAVs will appear for the CBSE Class X examinations, while 4,747 students from 214 OAVs will appear for the Class XII (Science) examinations. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has designated 73 OAVs as examination centres across the state.

Addressing the meeting, Dr. Naik stated, The CBSE Board Examinations are a significant milestone in the academic journey of our students. We are committed to ensuring that the examinations are conducted smoothly, fairly, and transparently across all Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas. The Commissioner-cum-Secretary instructed school authorities to strictly adhere to CBSE guidelines and ensure proper logistical arrangements, examination security, and student support mechanisms.

The meeting was attended by the SPD, OAVS; Additional Secretary, S&ME Department; Joint Director, OAVS; Deputy Director, OAVS; and other senior officials. With structured planning, administrative coordination, and focused academic support, OAVs are poised to ensure the successful conduct of the CBSE Board examinations across Odisha.
