Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday approved five major proposals of different departments.
The proposals were approved at the 20th meeting of the State Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan.
Following the meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja briefed the media about the decisions taken during the cabinet session.
A total of five proposals from five departments were presented in the cabinet meeting, and all proposals were discussed and approved, the Chief Secretary said.
The State Cabinet approved the proposal for creation of the Odisha Ophthalmic Service (Methods of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2025.
The Cabinet also approved the Odisha Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy 2025, setting the stage for a mission-driven approach to digital governance and innovation.
The Cabinet also gave its nod to a proposal to raise the upper age limit for entry into various government services in Odisha to 42 years from the existing 32 years.
