Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Friday effected a major reshuffle of IPS officers, with several senior officers being transferred and assigned new responsibilities across key police formations.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, Himansu Kumar Lal, presently Inspector General of Police (IGP), Northern Range, Sambalpur, has been posted as IGP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar. He will also hold additional charge of the Special Task Force (STF).
Satyabrat Bhoi, currently IGP, Northern Central Range, Talcher, with additional charge as Principal of Police Training College (PTC), Angul, has been posted as IGP, Intelligence.
Jai Narayan Pankaj, presently IGP, Intelligence has been transferred and posted as IGP, Southern Range, Brahmapur.
Niti Shekhar, who was serving as IGP, Southern Range, Brahmapur, has been posted as IGP (Provisioning), Police Headquarters.
Charan Singh Meena, currently DIG, Provisioning, has been posted as DIG, Northern Range, Sambalpur.
Ashish Kumar Singh, who recently joined the Home Department following repatriation from central deputation, has been posted as DIG, Northern Central Range, Talcher, with additional charge as Principal, PTC, Anugola.
