Berhampur: All government and government-aided elementary and secondary schools in Ganjam district have been directed to conduct Saturday classes in the morning session.
The decision follows an improvement in weather conditions. Earlier, schools were instructed to hold Saturday classes in the day shift due to cold and freezing weather, with student safety being the primary concern. As winter is now drawing to a close, the department has withdrawn the temporary arrangement.
Headmasters have been asked to take necessary steps to ensure that Saturday classes are held in the morning session as usual until further orders.
The instruction was communicated through an official letter issued by the District Education Office, Ganjam.
