New Delhi: The Biju Janata Dal Rajya Sabha MPs have rubbished the reports of defections in the party and asserted that they are in the BJD and will always remain so.
In a show of unity, all seven MPs of the BJD held a press conference here on Tuesday and expressed their support to party supremo Naveen Patnaik.
The BJD MPs said that the media reports about defection in the party are completely false, fabricated and concocted.
“There are seven BJD Rajya Sabha MPs who have been constantly targeted in social media. The concern is they are constantly saying we are defecting. Therefore we wanted all seven MPs to come together in a press meeting and strongly say that we are with Naveen Patnaik ji and Biju Janata Dal”, said BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra.
No one is leaving, he added.
The BJD will decide its stand on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ bill, after examining the details of the bill, he further said.
