Naveen Congratulates Two Odisha Teachers on Being Selected for National Teachers’ Awards 2025

Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik congratulated two Odisha teachers, Basanta Kumar Rana and Tarun Kumar Dash, for their selection for the National Teachers’ Awards 2025, announced by the Union Education Ministry.

Rana, a teacher at Government Upper Primary School, Kondel, in Malkangiri’s Korkunda block, is popular for his innovative teaching methods. Dash, from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Koraput, is the only teacher from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan selected this year, recognized for his creative, student-centric approach.

Taking to his ‘X’ handle, Naveen wrote, “ I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Basant Kumar Rana and Tarun Kumar Dash from Odisha, who are being honored with the National Teacher Award. Their success in the field of education is a matter of pride for the entire state. I wish both of them further success”.

The awardees will receive Rs 50,000, a silver medal, and a certificate at a ceremony in New Delhi on September 5, celebrating Teachers’ Day in honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary.
