Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, extended warm congratulations to V. D. Satheesan on being sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Kerala.
In a post on X, Naveen wrote, “Congratulate Shri V. D. Satheesan ji on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of #Kerala. I wish, under your leadership the state reaches new heights of development. Best wishes”.
Satheesan took oath as the Chief Minister of Kerala on Monday, with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administering the oath of office during a grand ceremony held at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Along with Satheesan, members of his 20-member Cabinet were also sworn in at the event, which was attended by several senior political leaders and thousands of supporters.
The new Cabinet includes senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, K. Muraleedharan, A. P. Anil Kumar and KPCC chief Sunny Joseph. Senior alliance leaders, including P. K. Kunhalikutty, Shibu Baby John, Mons Joseph, Anoop Jacob and C. P. John, also took oath as ministers.
