Naveen Grieves Death of Balanga Minor Girl

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal President and Leader of Opposition in Assembly Naveen Patnaik has grieved the sad demise of minor girl of Balanga in Puri district.

Taking to his ‘X’ handle, Naveen said that he was deeply saddened and anguished to know that the young girl set on fire in Balanga area of Puri District passed away while undergoing treatment in AIIMS.

Naveen offered his condolences for the young girl and prayers are with the family members in the hour grief.

“Deeply saddened and anguished to know that the young girl set on fire in Balanga area of Puri District passed away while undergoing treatment in AIIMS. My condolences for the young girl and prayers are with the family members in the hour grief. May God give the family members strength to bear this irreparable loss”, the BJD President said.

The girl, who sustained severe burn injuries on July 19, was initially treated at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar before being shifted to AIIMS-Delhi for advanced care. Despite efforts, she succumbed to her injuries at 6:22 PM today.
