Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has launched ‘Ama Shasana’, an initiative aimed at strengthening public participation in governance by collecting direct feedback from citizens on various welfare schemes.
The CM inaugurated the initiative at Lok Seva Bhawan in the presence of ministers and senior department secretaries.
As part of the launch, a dedicated portal — www.amashasana.odisha.gov.in was unveiled to enable citizens to share their opinions on the implementation and effectiveness of government programmes.
To establish a direct interface between the government and the people, the initiative also provides a toll-free helpline (14471) and a WhatsApp number (7400221903) for quick communication and grievance redressal.
In a unique feature of the programme, the Chief Minister and ministers will personally reach out to citizens through random calls to gather feedback. This direct engagement aims to make service delivery more effective, transparent, and truly people-centric, ensuring governance that is both participatory and democratic, according to an official release.
