Odisha Govt Declares Holiday for Nuakhai Festival on August 29

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a public holiday for all government offices, revenue, and magistrate courts on August 29 on the occasion of the Nuakhai festival.

The announcement was made through a notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.

The holiday will cover all state government offices and executive courts, allowing citizens to participate in the festivities.

Additionally, the notification stated that September 13, 2025, which falls on the second Saturday, will be a working day to compensate for the holiday.
