Cuttack: Ahead of the offline ticket sale for the India–South Africa T20 match, the Commissionerate Police on Thursday conducted a detailed briefing at Barabati Stadium and rolled out tightened crowd-management measures.
The sale for general spectators will begin at 9 am on December 5.
To ensure smooth and orderly queues, iron barricades have been set up in a serpentine pattern around the counters. Authorities have prohibited overnight waiting, allowing fans to queue only from 6 am on the day of sale. Entry and exit routes near the Cricket Academy have also been separated to prevent congestion.
To curb black-marketing, plain-clothes police personnel will be deployed around the stadium and on key approach roads. The ticketing zone will be under continuous CCTV surveillance to monitor crowds and detect illegal activities. Enforcement teams will act immediately on any information related to scalping or disruptions.
The India–South Africa T20 match is scheduled for December 9 at Barabati Stadium. Police have advised spectators to purchase tickets only from official counters or authorised digital platforms.
