Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a section of the roof at Cuttack Railway Station collapsed during ongoing redevelopment work, causing temporary disruption to train services.
The incident involved the collapse of an old wall and a platform shed, with debris falling onto the tracks at Platform 1.
No casualties have been reported, though the incident sparked panic among passengers.
According to East Coast Railway (ECoR), the collapse occurred at 3:45 PM on Wednesday despite safety measures in place. The fallen debris affected train movements on Platforms 1 and 2.
The restoration work is in progress, and the lines are expected to be cleared soon, as per the ECoR.
