Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to demolish all unsafe and dangerous buildings in Cuttack city.
This was announced by Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra in the State Assembly on Tuesday.
The Minister informed the House that a special committee has been constituted to identify such structures. “Once the survey is completed, notices will be served to the owners of the identified dangerous buildings.
Necessary action will be taken strictly as per the law to demolish them,” he said.
The decision comes in the wake of growing concerns over public safety due to a large number of old and dilapidated buildings in the millennium city.
