Empty Vessels Make Good Sound, Says Naveen, Criticises BJP Govt for Lack of Development

Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Odisha government for completely failing to spend on public welfare and development.

“Sad to say that there is no expenditure being made by the State Government of Odisha for the people of this state and for their development”, Naveen said.

Naveen said that the BJD has repeatedly reminded the government about the urgent need to utilise funds for public welfare, but the appeals have gone unheard.

He said, “Time and again this has been brought to the attention of Odisha Government by the BJD that there must be some expenditure for the development of the people of the state, but they seem to be totally neglectful about this. Everyone is suffering”.

The BJD President further criticised the government’s approach, stating that the crisis affects every section of society.

“It’s not exclusive to any people, it is everyone that is suffering. It’s like they’re playing on empty vessels, and we all know that empty vessels make a good sound, and that’s what they’re satisfied by”, he said.
