Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has taken strict action against two of its members from the Ganjam Block in Ganjam district for allegedly involving in anti-party activities.
Sarmistha Pradhan and Surath Pradhan from the Ganjam Block, have been suspended from the party with immediate effect.
The action has been taken on the direction of party supremo Naveen Patnaik, informed Pratap Jena, Vice President of BJD (Headquarters) through an office ororder.
“Sarmistha Pradhan and Surath Pradhan of Ganjam Block are hereby suspended from Biju Janata Dal for their involvement in antiparty activities, with immediate effect”, the order reads.
The move underscores the BJD’s commitment to maintaining discipline within the party.
