Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik will visit Komna in the Nuapada Assembly constituency on November 3 to campaign for party candidate Snehangini Chhuria in the upcoming by-election.
In a video message released on Friday, Naveen greeted the people saying, “Jay Jagannath, dear brothers and sisters of Komna. I will visit Komna on November 3. I will meet you all and speak to you.”
He expressed his eagerness to interact with locals and listen to their concerns, signing off with his familiar phrase, “Apana Mane Khusi Ta?” (Are you happy?) and the traditional western Odisha greeting “Juhar.”
Naveen’s active participation is expected to boost Chhuria’s campaign.
As per sources, the BJD supremo will return to Nuapada on November 7 for another round of campaigning.
The by-election is scheduled for November 11 with counting on November 14.
All major parties have intensified their outreach in what is widely regarded as a prestige fight.
