Odisha Govt Announces 2% DA Hike for Employees, Pensioners

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday announced a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and pensioners.

With the latest revision, the DA has been increased from 58% to 60%.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said the enhanced DA will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2026. State government employees will receive the revised DA in cash along with their May salary, while pensioners will get the increased Temporary Increase (TI) with their May pension.

The decision is expected to benefit nearly 8.5 lakh government employees and pensioners across Odisha.

The move has been taken to provide relief amid rising inflation and to maintain parity with Dearness Allowance revisions made by the central government, official sources said.
