Odisha Govt Effects Minor Bureaucratic Reshuffle

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle involving three IAS officers.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Sudhansu Mohan Samal has been appointed Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).

Samal will continue to hold the additional charge of Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division), Cuttack.

Following Samal’s appointment, the additional charge of OMC Chairman currently held by Girish S N will cease from the date Samal assumes charge.

Suresh Kumar Vashishth has been appointed Principal Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department. He was earlier serving as Principal Secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, while also holding additional charge of the General Administration and Public Grievance and Parliamentary Affairs departments.

Vashishth will now continue to hold the additional charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Department.

Meanwhile, Dr Brundha D has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department. She was serving as Mission Director of the National Health Mission and also holding additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Assurance Society.
