Sundargarh: Missing Minor Girl Found Dead in Lulukidhi Forest

Sundargarh: In a heartbreaking incident, the body of a missing minor girl from the Talasara police station area in Sundargarh district was found hanging from a tree in the Lulukidhi forest near the Chhattisgarh border on Sunday.

The girl, who had been missing since Friday, was discovered after an intensive search operation by the Talasara police, assisted by a scientific team and sniffer dogs, according to reports.

The minor was last seen meeting her boyfriend, a married man from Chhattisgarh, in the forest on Friday, accompanied by another young man., as per sources.

A heated argument reportedly erupted between the girl and her boyfriend, after which she disappeared. The boyfriend claimed she fled into the forest following their dispute.

Concerned villagers apprehended the boyfriend and his friend and handed them over to the Talasara police for questioning.

The girl’s family has raised suspicions of foul play, alleging the boyfriend’s involvement in her death.

Following a thorough search in the dense Lulukidhi forest, the police located the girl’s body. A case has been registered, and the post-mortem report is awaited to determine the cause of death.

The boyfriend and his friend remain in custody as the investigation continues.
