Bhadrak: Pregnant Woman Suffers Labor Pain as Ambulance Stuck in Traffic Jam in Chandabali

Bhadrak: In a distressing incident that highlights severe traffic mismanagement, a pregnant woman suffered intense labor pain while being stuck in a traffic jam for over 15 minutes inside an ambulance.

The incident took place near Mato Bazaar in Chandabali, Bhadrak district, as the woman was being rushed to the Chandbali Community Health Centre in a 102 emergency ambulance. Despite the urgency and blaring sirens, the vehicle was completely immobilized, unable to move forward, backward, or sideways due to a severe traffic bottleneck.

What is even more alarming is that the ambulance was stranded just 100 meters from the Chandbali police outpost, yet no immediate steps were taken by authorities to ease the passage, according to eyewitnesses.

The incident has sparked widespread public anger, with citizens questioning the region’s emergency response mechanisms and the failure of local administration to regulate traffic, especially in critical situations.
