Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal will continue to fight for the rights of the workers, said party President Naveen Patnaik here on Saturday.
The workers are the biggest strength of a nation. Their sacrifice and hard work make the country prosperous. They have a special contribution in every field of development and prosperity, said Naveen while addressing the extended executive meeting of Biju Shramika Samukhya, the workers’ union wing of the party.
Naveen said that the BJD has always fought for the rights of the workers and will continue to do so.
Biju Babu created history by increasing the minimum wage of workers in 1990. Many steps have been taken for the welfare of workers during the Biju Janata Dal government, he said.
