Former BDA Official Sentenced to 3 Years in Jail for Bribery 

Bhubaneswar: Kushal Chandra Chatterjee, a former outsourced Junior Town Planner at the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), was convicted today by the Vigilance Special Judge, Bhubaneswar, in a bribery case.

The court sentenced Chatterjee to three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine for his role in demanding and accepting a bribe to approve a residential building plan.

He was charged under Sections 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) and Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, following an investigation by Odisha Vigilance.
