Naveen Mourns Tragic Demise of Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani

Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly Naveen Patnaik has expressed his profound grief over the tragic demise of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in the plane crash in Ahmedabad.

Taking to his ‘X’ handle, Naveen wrote, “Deeply saddened to learn about the tragic demise of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani ji in the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad that took away so many precious lives. My condolences to the bereaved family and followers. Om Shanti”.

Rupani was among the 241 people who tragically lost their lives in the Air India Flight AI-171 crash near Ahmedabad.

The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, en route to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad airport, killing 241 out of 242 people on board in what is now considered one of India’s worst aviation disasters.
