Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is set to commence on September 18 and will run until September 25, as per a notification issued by the Speaker’s office.
The session will span seven working days.
Opposition parties, including the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress, are preparing to challenge the government on critical issues such as women’s safety, law and order, the FM College student’s death, the Balanga girl’s death, the Gopalpur gangrape case, the Mahanadi water dispute, the OTET question paper leak, Student Union elections, and compensation for flood victims.
The ruling party plans to table several key bills during the session.
