Odisha Govt Deploys 30 OAS Officers for Rath Yatra Duty in Puri

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has approved the deployment of 30 OAS officers as Executive Magistrates

to maintain law and order during the Rath Yatra in Puri.

The Revenue and Disaster Management Department informed that the Collector of Puri had sought the deployment of officers to serve as Executive Magistrates for the smooth conduct of the Rath Yatra between 23rd June and 9th July 2025. The request has been approved, it added.

In a directive to various departments and district collectors, including Cuttack, Keonjhar, Ganjam, and others, the Department instructed them to release the officers by June 21, 2025. The officers are required to report to the Puri Collector by June 23, 2025.

This deployment aims to enhance coordination, security, and administrative efficiency during the Rath Yatra, it further stated.
