Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has revised the date for the Savitri Amavasya public holiday.
Originally set for May 27, the holiday will now be observed on May 26.
This decision follows discussions with Puri Mukti Mandap, religious organizations, and almanac experts, confirming that Savitri Amavasya falls on May 26. The Chief Minister has approved the updated holiday schedule, according to an official statement.
