Odisha Swimmer Mannata Mishra Clinches Silver at All India Inter-University Aquatics Championship

Bhubaneswar/Chennai: Odisha’s ace swimmer Mannata Mishra brought laurels to the state by clinching a silver medal at the All India Inter-University Aquatics Championship 2025–26, held at SRM University, Chennai.

Representing KIIT University, Mannata secured the silver medal on the opening day of the prestigious championship in the women’s 200m breaststroke event, clocking an impressive time of 2:44.05 to finish second.

With this strong performance, she also qualified for the upcoming Khelo India University Games (KIUG).

Founder of KIIT and KISS, Achyuta Samanta, congratulated Mannata on her achievement and lauded her dedication, stating that her success has brought immense pride to the institutions.

Mannata’s latest feat adds to her recent success at the 78th Senior National Aquatic Championships 2025, where she won a silver medal in the women’s 100m breaststroke at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, with a timing of 1:15.57.
