Bhubaneswar: In a big relief to the people, the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) on Thursday announced that the retail power tariff will remain unchanged in the State for the 2023-24 financial year.
It is for the third consecutive year in a row that the retail power tariff has not been hiked in the State.
As per the prevailing pricing structure, the consumers are charged Rs 3 per unit for first 50 units, Rs 4.80 for 51-200 units, Rs 5.80 for 201-400 units and Rs 6.20 for above 400 units.
There is a provison of 4 per cent discount on digital payments for the customers.
